About

UTSC's digital collections contain rare and unique digitized and born digital-collections.

Content Note

The UTSC Library Digital Collections depict historical human expression and lived experience; thus, you may encounter language that is offensive, misrepresentative or harmful, or descriptions of experiences involving violence.

Due to the nature of the historical materials, there will be occurrences of language, positions, and values that may not align with current values and practices and therefore the inclusion of such content should not be considered an endorsement of the use of its language or ideologies.

We reject oppressive views that may be reflected in our collections, including but not limited to racism, sexism, ableism, and homophobia. We believe in the importance of fostering access to our collections in a responsible and transparent way that preserves historical evidence of social conditions and attitudes and are presented here without censorship as evidence of past activities.

Where necessary, content notes are visible as part of the metadata of digital objects. We acknowledge that this can be difficult for those using the collection. If you have questions about this content, please reach out to us with your concerns.
