Heidi Calder discusses 18 years of work experience at UTSC in the Alumni Office, the Athletics Department and as Special Advisor for the Pan American Games. A Scarborough native, Heidi shares her perspective about social change in the community and reflects on the often negative media portrayal of this part of Toronto. She also discusses overall safety in Scarborough and at UTSC, the media's portrayal of the city's east end and how different kinds of diversity have effected safety and security.
