Mrs. G. A. McCarthy 81 Kildonan Drive Toronto 13 Thursday,
July 7th, 1949.
Dear Doris,
This is your birthday and I am remembering the joy and pain your happy arrival brought your dear father and myself. This occurs a long time ago - so much has happened since - well 39 years is a long time half a life time of a good long life. But as she says as long as she has her parents her own wishes must step aside for theirs and he is keen to go to Nova Scotia and the Sea.
